Does your pool water have a tinge of green to it? Then this is a sign that algae is growing in your pool. If you let this fester, then the algae will continue to grow and can cause your water to become a brown-yellow color. If algae is growing in your pool, then that’s a clear sign you need to get it cleaned.

There’s calcium build-up

You may have noticed calcium build-up in your shower your sink, but it can also happen in your pool. Calcium build-up will create grayish stains and spotting on swimming pool tiles. They are a result of poor water chemistry, so in addition to deep cleaning your pool you’ll need to properly treat your pool water as well.

Skin and/or eye irritation

For some people, their skin is naturally sensitive to chlorine. But if people are stepping out of the pool with itchy skin or eye irritation who don’t normally experience such things, then chances are there are contaminants in your water. Dirt, sweat, and sunscreen can all collect your pool water, further dirtying your pool. If this is happening, then it’s time to deep clean your pool.
